The American Holocaust

The American Holocaust

By Joe Palmer

On January 22, 1973 by a 7 to 2 vote the United States Supreme Court sold it’s soul and issued the decree that made it legal for a mother to murder her unborn baby.  Here are a few facts about abortion

Abortion Facts Did you know that…?
…1.2 to 1.4 million abortions are performed in the United States every year? That amounts to 4,000 every day, 3 every minute, 1 every 20 seconds.
…the United States has one of the highest abortion rates among developed countries?
…every fourth baby conceived in America is killed by abortion?

Concerning the impact of abortion on our nation Mother Theresa said, “America needs no words from me to see how your decision in Roe v. Wade has deformed a great nation. The so-called right to abortion has pitted mothers against their children and women against men. It has portrayed the greatest of gifts–a child–as a competitor, an intrusion, and an inconvenience.” (Mother Theresa — “Notable and Quotable,” Wall Street Journal, 2/25/94, p.A14)

FETUS OR LIVING PERSON Medical authorities determine a person to be “alive” if there is either a detectable heartbeat or brain-wave activity. With that in mind, it is eye-opening for some to realize that unborn children have detectable heartbeats at eighteen days (two and one-half weeks) after conception and detectable brain-wave activity forty days (a little over five and one-half weeks) after conception. What is so shocking is that essentially 100 percent of all abortions occur after the seventh week of pregnancy.  Sanctity of Life, C. Swindoll, Word, 1990, pp. 11-12

As American Citizens we should be just as appalled by abortion as we were by the acts of Hitler against Jews.  In fact we should be more so because we are teaching young girls they have a right to take the life of their own child.
